Noah's Ark Animal Workshop

Hi- My teenage party last night went VERY well. Having taught middle school for 20 years came in handy, though. Our weather here has been awful, so there were only 15 instead of 20. I started off with two "adult" games where the winners won a voice chip for their new stuffed animal friend. From there, I did my show-n-tell and they chose their new cuddly friend. Then we had a stuffing party- VERY easy with this age. I think I enjoyed that the most. Then, I was honest with them and said I only have a "wishing star" ceremony made for little kids. They actually loved it and were very good sports about doing the cute little ceremony with me. From there, they were able to close their own animals (another part I enjoyed) and then they dressed their new friends in t-shirts. At this point, they were ready to get on with other things, so I put their Birth Certificates in their bags and I packed up and left for home. It was so awesome, though, because all but 2 kids were walking around with their new cuddly friends in their arms (literally hugging them). This really is an activity for kids of ALL ages. In this day and age, who couldn't use a new, warm, fuzzy friend! My next activity is setting up a vendor booth at a local daycare conference next weekend. Oh, and I booked another Bella Bee party today for April. Between now and May, I only have a few weekends that are not booked with workshops!!! Every time I leave to go to work, I end up at a party!
